Special Budget Meeting

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bancroft does hereby approve of the open session agenda dated April 23rd, 2025, as presented.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bancroft does hereby receive Staff Report re 2025 Municipal Budget Approval and 2025 Tax Rate Approval.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bancroft does hereby approve amending the 2025 Municipal Budget to reduce the tax levy requirement that was related to the Road/Park/Fire building by one percent thereby reducing the tax levy increase from 8.54 % to 7.54% after growth; AND FURTHER at the completion of the Monck Street/Valleyview Drive project, staff will provide a report to Council that any unspent CCBF funds will be reallocated to the roads/park/fire buildings to a maximum of $ 70,000.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bancroft does hereby approve the 2025 Community Grant applications as outlined in the 2025 Municipal Budget presentation and authorizes Staff to administer the 2025 Community Grant program.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bancroft does hereby approve the 2025 Municipal Budget in principle.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the meeting of Council held on April 23rd, 2025 be hereby given a first, second and third reading, and be finally passed, signed, sealed and numbered By-Law 33-2025

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Special Meeting of Council hereby close at 5:40 PM.
